Thanks to everyone who came out to hear us at Pat’s BBQ. Don’t miss J.T. Draper and Chris “The Lizard King” Phillips tomorrow night (Tuesday–Poker Night, as always) at The Piper Down.
Downbeat at 9 PM, but don’t park in the Chinese restaurant lot adjacent to the club until after 10, unless you want a severe tongue-lashing from the proprietor, and possibly a boot on your wheel. 21+. No cover.
We have a duo show tonight at The Piper Down. It’s another one of those last minute things that we’re so famous for. Word is they have a new awesome sound system that we’re excited to try. Be there! 21+. No cover!
Hey everybody, it’s me, J.T. We’ve had a pretty slow month, but we’re getting ready to play some killer shows this spring and summer.
The Barrel Room is located in the basement of The Hotel bar. 155 W 200 S. Downtown SLC.
Next weekend we’ve got a couple of interesting things coming up. First of all, we’re at The Barrel Room (in the basement of The Hotel Bar) for the first time on Friday, May 3. Show starts at 9 PM and we’ll have the great Mark Mottonon (of Swagger) sitting in with us on drums. This is an awesome basement bar with a cool sound system, and lots of good beers and whiskeys. Don’t miss. 21+.
On Saturday, we’ll be at The Live Green SLC Festival at The SLC City Library. We’re the first band on the roster, playing early at 11 AM. Bring the kids and we’ll keep it squeaky clean!
The Clarksdale Ghosts would like to give a great big “thank you” and farewell to Chris Zollinger, our co-founder, percussionist and dear friend. He has decided to uproot and move out of state. We wish him the best with his new situation and hope that he has the opportunity to keep on laying down the beat with another band.
We will continue gigging as usual as a guitar/harp/bass trio for smaller gigs, and hire a drummer for clubs other larger gigs until we find a permanent replacement.
In the meantime, we’d love to see you at The Tap Room this Sunday. We’ll be doing a duo gig: J.T. Draper: guitar & voice; Chis Phillips: harmonicas!
We’re pretty excited about this show to say the least. First off, we love playing at The Garage on Beck. Second, we’re doubling up with Utah’s best Outlaw Country combo: Ghostetowne. They put on great shows, and we’ve seen them open up for Robert Earl Keen and Shooter Jennings.
Show starts at 9 with The Clarksdale Ghosts opening! 21+, and only 5 bucks at the door! It’s gonna be twangtastic!
We’ve had a quiet Presidents’ Day weekend with no gigs. but we’re getting ready for our glorious return to The Devil’s Daughter this Friday, February 22. Music starts around 9:30 PM. Awesome food and good drink selection. We really love this place and know that you will too. 21+.
Also, we’ll be jammin’ with the ski bums and bunnies on Sunday, February 24 at Snowbird Ski Resort’s Tram Club. 3-7 PM. Good times and great chicken fingers! 21+.
